Sunflower – fulfilling dreams

Established in Taiwan in the early 1990s, the Shang Gu Enterprise Company, as it is know locally, quickly established its pre-eminence in the garden shear segment. Innovative design, uncompromising quality control and aggressive pricing launched the company as a mainstream supplier to both OEM and ODM customers around the world. Then, having been awarded ISO 90012 and TÜV (GS) and VPA certificates, the launch of their own brand was the next logical step.
With 170 expert staff based in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Taiwan and China, and with a management resource of marketing and product knowledge that is the envy of the industry, the Sunflower brand could only go upwards.
The normal anxiety surrounding a new brand launch never happened. Meticulous planning and corporate self-confidence created a textbook strategy: point of sale profile harmonised with product presentation and quality to literally force the range to the front. This leadership in design and manufacture, exemplified by the unique Sunflower product range designed specifically for women, has overshadowed the best of their competitors, and created the group’s corporate philosophy.
The first time a gardener handles Sunflower tools, he will instinctively know that he is in contact with something special. The clean lines, ergonomic handles and superb balance all mark the pedigree of the range. From loppers, hedge shears, pruners and grass shears, it is clear that every product has been designed and manufactured by people who know and love their art. As expected, each unit provides the ultimate mechanical advantage, amplifying minimum user effort at the handle to extraordinary power delivery as the cutting blades meet. Once owned, Sunflower tools are never lost, or they become an extension of the gardener’s arm, the channel through which his vision becomes reality.
New to the program is the telescopic wavy hedge shear HS-85F1-23. The blades consist of 50C carbon steel. The upper blade is PTFE coated and the lower blade hard chrome plated. The handle is a single, oval aluminium reinforced tube with a PVC grip. The surface is anodised with original colour. The new product offers a 2-in-1 function as hedge shear and lopping shear. The lopping shear blade will cut branches up to 25 mm thick. The patented stopper on the blade is to prevent slippage. The high frequency treatment provides a clean cut. The 2-in-1 blades could be combined with different types of tubular handle.
