New products are now being presented at DIYglobal. Interesting and innovative products from the sector are selected by the editorial team of our magazine “DIY in Europe” and published both in the print issue and on the internet. A special section has been added to DIYglobal for this purpose.
Also to be found there are product reports from two supplements that are published annually, “New for the DIY market” and “New for the garden season”.

New product reports go online about one week prior to the publication date of DIY in Europe. Then for three months they remain freely available to DIYglobal users in the “New Products” section.When published in this way, such reports are identical in picture and text to the print version.

The new chainsaws from Black & Decker come as 1 700, 1 850 and 2 000 Watt models, in each case with cutting bars of 30, 35 or 40 cm in length. Their chrome chains run at a speed 57 per cent higher than previous models, according to the manufacturers. All models feature an automatic on-board oiling system with a large 220 ml oil tank and oil gauge. The chain of several of the ten models available can be tightened without any tool at all. The kickback brake stops the chain in a split second and offers a double degree of safety through electric current cut-off combined with mechanical motor braking.
